He was noticed by scouts from different English clubs, but the footballer decided to join Manchester City. He showed stellar performance during the spell. Nevertheless, in 2008, he was sent on loan to Celtic.
His debut season for the Scottish club was lined with the team’s win in the Scottish Cup. In 2009, the club’s management offered Samaras a contract on permanent basis and he took the proposal. In 2011, together with the first squad Georgios won the Scottish Cup. The 2011/2012 season was also lined with the club’s victory in the Scottish Premier League.
