Gerald Asamoah is a German forward for Schalke 04 II born in Ghana.
At the start of his professional career Gerald played for German side Hannover 96. Having spent three seasons with the club he switched to Schalke 04. After 11 years of performance for the Miners, in June 2010 the footballer penned a two-year deal with St. Pauli that had just promoted to the 1st Bundesliga. However, a year later Asamoah terminated the contract with the club and signed for VfB Hüls. Nevertheless Gerald didn’t stay there for too long and in the summer of 2012 SpVgg Greuther Fürth welcomed the player into the fold signing a contract with him until June 2013. After that Asamoah penned a deal with Schalke 04 reserve team.
Asamoah’s debut for the Germany national squad came in 2001. Since 2006 he hasn’t been capped any more. The footballer made a total of 43 appearances and delivered 6 goals for the national team.
