Giandomenico Mesto is an Italian defender currently playing for Serie A side Napoli. He was born on 25 May 1982 in Monopoli, Italy.
Giandomenico began his professional career at Reggina in 1998. In two years he joined Cremonese for a season and then moved to Fernana. Mesto pulled off a successful 2001/02 season at the latter club as he made 31 appearances and scored 16 goals. In 2002, he moved back to Reggina where he played in 137 matches during a six-year stint at the club. In the 2007/08 campaign, Mesto found himself on loan at Udinese. He made a total of 100 appearances in Genoa’s jersey in between 2008 and 2012. In 2012, Mesto moved to Napoli.
Giandomenico Mesto is capped to the Italy national team since 2005.
