Giannis Maniatis is a Greek footballer born on 12 October 1986 in Livadeia. He currently plays as a midfielder for the Greek giants Olympiacos.
Giannis began his football grooming at Panionios in 2003. He made a total of 164 appearances and 8 goals during his eight-year stint at the club. Thanks to his constantly good club performances, Maniatis became the target of top-flight Greek clubs like AEK, Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. In January 2011, he eventually signed for Olympiacos. Maniatis was a part of the team that won the Superleague Greece in two consecutive seasons and won the Greek Cup trophy in 2012.
In the 2006/07 season, Giannis Maniatis represented the Greece U-21 team amassing 14 international appearances and 1 goal. Since 2010, he is capped to the senior Greek side making his debut against Serbia in August 2010.
