Giorgi Chanturia is a winger, born on 11 April 1993 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In 2004 Giorgi’s youth career took off in FC Saburtalo, where he stayed for six years before being sent on loan to Spanish top-flight Barcelona. However, the footballer failed to cement a place in the Catalan side club and decided to move to Dutch side Vitesse in 2010.
Chanturia’s professional début came on the first day of the 2011/2012 season in the goalless draw with ADO Den Haag. The player netted his first goal in the hammering 4-0 victory over VVV-Venlo. Giorgi fired four goals in 26 league and three KNVB Cup appearances for Vitesse as of October 2012.
In 2013 Giorgi seerved a loan spell with Alania Vladikavkaz struggling in the Russian Premier League, and in February 2014 penned a permanent deal with CFR Cluj.
The footballer was capped 19 times and found the net nine times for the Georgia national U-17, U-19 and U-21 squads.
