Giuseppe Bellusci

Giuseppe Bellusci is a center back for Catania. He was born on 21 August, 1989 in Trebisacce, Italy.

Giuseppe began his football grooming at Ascoli Calcio youth academy. As a youth he established himself as highly promising defender, which helped him to secure a spot in the first squad of the club in the future.

In 2006 Giuseppe penned his first professional deal with his alma mater Ascoli. In his debut 2006/07 season Bellusci periodically appeared in the starting lineup of the team, but it wasn’t enough to stay in top shape. For three years the Italian defender made 35 appearances which became a catalyst for his move to another club.

In the summer of 2009 Giuseppe accepted an offer of a contract of a top-flight Sicilian club Calcio Catania. The defender accepted the offer and signed for the club, where he plays today.

From 2009 to 2010 Bellusci earned 6 caps for the Italy U-21 national team.
