Giuseppe Rossi is a footballer of Italian origin, currently playing for Fiorentina as a forward. He was born in 1987 in Teaneck, New Jersey, United States. When he was twelve years old, he joined the academy of Parma and in 2004 he left Italy and moved to Manchester United. He joined United’s senior squad in 2005 and made his debut in the match against Sunderland which was a 3-1 victory. The season 2006/07 Rossi spent on loan: firstly he played for Newcastle United and joined Parma for the second half of the season.
In July 2007 he completed a move to Villarreal for a fee of £6.6m. He marked his debut match against Valencia in August 2007 with a goal. In January 2011 he extended the contract till 2016. In October 2011 he picked up an injury which ruled him out for six months. In April 2012 he suffered a knee injury and stayed aside for 10 months. In January 2013 Giuseppe Rossi moved to Italy signing for ACF Fiorentina.
Rossi was capped for the Italian team at all the youth levels and since 2008 he’s played for the senior squad.
