Godfred Karikari is a footballer currently playing for Henan Jianye as a striker. He was born in 1985 in Ghana. A young footballer, he moved to Hong Kong from Ghana in 2002 and plays there ever since. The first team he joined there was Fukien and in 2005 Godfred Karikari switched to Hong Kong Rangers FC, where he played until 2008. In January he moved to Happy Valley. There he made 44 appearances and scored 14 goals.
In September 2010, he signed a deal with TSW Pegasus. During his spell at the club he featured in 33 matches and scored 20 goals. In June 2012, the footballed joined Chinese Super League team Henan Jianye. He made his debut appearance in ten days after arrival in a 0-0 draw against Dalian Shide.
Godfred Karikari has been living in Hong Kong but for a long time he hadn’t got a Hong Kong passport, so he had no chance to represent its team.
