Gökhan Töre is a Turkish footballer of Rubin Kazan. Gökhan is able to play in a number of midfield positions but is arguably at his best on the wing.
He was born on January 20, 1992 in Cologne, Germany. SV Adler Dellbrück was the first club where he started practicing football. Then he moved to the academy of Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The young talent was tipped for a big future in football. Several clubs declared interest in the player`s services. In 2009 the English outfit Chelsea completed the signing of the player for an undisclosed fee.
Töre contributed to the team`s victory in the Premier Academy League. Gökhan was rewarded for his stand-out display with a place in the reserves. On June 6, 2011 he put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with Hamburger SV. On August 5, 2011 Gökhan debuted for HSV against Borussia Dortmund. He quickly established himself as a first-team regular. In 2012 Töre committed his future to Rubin Kazan for the next four seasons. However, he was loaned to Besiktas fot the season 2012/2013.
Gökhan Töre represented Turkey at different youth levels. On March 25, 2011 the promising winger was selected for the senior squad by Guus Hiddink to face Finland.
