Gökhan Ünal is a footballer from Turkey, born in 1982 in Ankara, Turkey, and began his professional career at Gençlerbirliği. From that club he was loaned to Hacettepe S.K., Ankaraspor and Yozgatspor, before he joined Kayserispor in 2003. He played for the team until his move to Trabzonspor in 2008, where he spent a season and a half and then switched to Fenerbahçe for a fee of €3.5 million. His performance wasn’t impressive and he was sent on loan to Istanbul BB and then to Kayserispor, where he completed a permanent move in 2012.
After being relesed from the club in October 2013, Unal joined Ankaraspor in January 2014.
Gökhan Ünal represents the Turkey national team since 2006.
