Grégory Bourillon is a footballer who plays as a defender for Lorient. He was born on 1 July 1984 in Laval (France).
In 2000, he got to the academy of football club Rennes, where he spent last 2 years of his junior career. During that time he mastered his skills in game and developed into a full-grown footballer.
In 2002, the management of the temporary club offered a very promising defender a contract on permanent basis. Grégory accepted the offer immediately and a five-year contract was signed. The place in the starting eleven wasn’t to be given at once and the French had to work ground before featuring in the line-up. After playing as a substitute, Bourillon’s performance went forward at a steady gait and he managed to become one of the squad’s pivots. During 5 years he made 114 appearances for the club.
In 2007, the player came into the limelight of the coaching stuff of Paris Saint-Germain. The management of the club did it’s best to get hold of the talented defender. In the summer 2007, Grégory officially became a member of the team. But there he didn’t get a chance to reveal his potential. He began to make only occasional appearances and took part in 36 matches during 3 years.
In 2010, changes took place in Grégory’s professional career. Lorient wished to secure his services and offered him a four-year contract. The proposal was taken without any hesitation. Now he is hold in high esteem by the coach and appears for the club as a starting player quite often.
