As a junior he came through the youth departments of such clubs as Bastia and Nantes. His professional career didn’t begin until he was 19. The scouts from Excelsior Mouscron made a notice of a talented player and offered him a contract. He fitted the squad perfectly and remained a leader of the team during the whole spell. In July 2005, he went back to Bastia.
His next club to play for would be Brest. In May 2008, a three-year contract was penned.
On 15 December 2008, Lorenzi entered the Football Union.
During his spell with Brest he was loaned to such clubs as Bastia and Arles-Avignon. He was welcomed back to his parent club in the 2010/2011 season, when the French club got the promotion to Ligue 1. The footballer had small chances to clinch into the starting line-up, so his intention to make a move was obvious. He communicated with four European clubs, but the move had gone for a Burton. Lorenzi continues to play for Brest, making occasional appearances as a starter.
