Guillaume Hoarau is a striker currently playing for Dalian Aerbin. He was born on 5 March 1984 in the French town of Saint-Louis.
Hoarau’s youth career started in 1994 when he entered the local academy at Saint-Pierroise. A young striker studied at the academy. With his youth team the footballer also participated in the France national U-21 championship.
In 2004 Guillaume’s youth career came to an end. He was awarded a contract with Le Havre from Ligue 2. The player was glad to be given such an opportunity in professional football and signed a contract that bounded him with the club until 2008.
Despite the striker’s poor performance at Le Havre the club resolved to loan Hoarau to FC Gueugnon which the footballer represented from 2006 till 2007 appearing in 21 matches and scoring 8 goals.
By the end of the season the football player returned to the initial club in which he played until 2008. For three years spent with the club the striker featured in 81 matches and netted 33 goals. His bright performance attracted attention of Parisian club Paris Saint-Germain that was ready to acquire a promising striker. In a short time the clubs settled all the nuances of the deal and Guillaume officially became a player of Parisian club. Since 2008 Hoarau has been considered to be one of the key team players and has taken part in all club matches. During 4 years the footballer participated in 111 matches and scored 38 goals.
In 2013 the French striker signed for Chinese side Dalian Aerbin thus joining Seydou Keita and Fabio Rochemback.
Since 2010 Guillaume Hoarau has received five calls-up to the France national football team.
