Gustav Svensson is a professional Swedish midfielder, born on February 9, 1987 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Gustav Svensson started his youth career at Azalea BK in 1999. From 2000 till 2001 he trained at Le Cannet-Rocheville ES and in 2001 began to play for the youth squad of Göteborg IFK.

In 2005 the young footballer was offered to sign a contract with Göteborg IFK. As the time went by, Gustav Svensson gained the trust of his coach and was fielded more and more often. In total, he stabbed 8 goals in 101 games over the time he featured for the club (from 2005 till 2010).

In 2010 Gustav Svensson joined Bursaspor. But his results were not very impressive there. He took part in no more than 29 matches.

In 2012 the Swedish midfielder moved to Tavriya Simferopol SC. After political disturbances in Ukraine Gustav terminated his contract with the club and returned to Sweden, joining IFK Goteborg.
