Halil Çolak is a Turkish-Dutch midfielder born on 29 January 1988 in Deventer, the Netherlands.
As a youth, he played for such Dutch clubs as IJsselstreek, Go Ahead Eagles and Twente. In 2008 the footballer started his professional career at Twente. However, in the 2008/09 season Çolak was sent on loan twice. At first he joined Cambuur, and later moved to Go Ahead Eagles. At Cambuur Halil made his debut in a home 1-1 draw against Zwolle on 1 February 2008. In the 2009/10 season, Halil transferred to Go Ahead Eagles on a permanent basis. The footballer managed to net 10 goals in 27 matches over the time spent at the club thus becoming quite an important player for the team.
It was speculated that the footballer was going to join Galatasaray; however, the rumors proved to be wrong. Halil Çolak signed for the Turkish side Kasımpaşa on 12 August 2010.
Since 2009, Çolak represents Turkey U21 team.
