Haris Vučkić is a midfielder of Newcastle United. He was born on 21 August 1992 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Haris’s formation as a footballer went on in the NK Domžale academy. He took part in different youth championship for various youth teams of the club. The midfielder prepared for the start of his professional career during a year after he got to the last youth squad.
In 2008 Haris clinched the place in the first team and signed his first contract. The footballer’s career made a smooth takeoff and he made periodical appearances on the pitch. The head coach had several conversations with the player and explained the reason for his changeable position: Haris had to be more diligent during trainings and to develop himself physically and tactically.
In 2009 English side Newcastle United noticed the footballer, making special mention of his potential and many other qualities that could help the club to achieve better results in future. In the summer the same year ‘The Magpies’ reached an agreement with Domžale concerning the signing of the young Slovenian midfielder and signed a contract with Haris on permanent basis.
Vučkić possesses perfect qualities of an attacking midfielder, which he demonstrated in several matches of the club. The footballer is under 20 and he already got to the prestigious English club and continues to play for it up till now. In January 2012 Haris was sent on loan to Cardiff City, where the young back spent the second half of the 2011/2012 season. After the end of the loan spell, the Slovenian footballer returned to his parent Newcastle United.
From 2010 till 2012 Vučkić was capped four times for the Slovenia national U21 team. In 2012 he was invited to the match of the senior national squad.
