Heinz Müller was born on 30 May 1978 in Frankfurt-am-Main. He performs as a goalkeeper.
Müller began his career in 1996 in FSV Frankfurt playing only for one season at the amateur level. Then he moved to Hannover 96, where he performed only as a substitute for a period of four years. In total, he played in eight games in the second division, and missed fourteen goals in the youth team.
In 2001, Heinz joined DSC Arminia Bielefeld, where he didn’t manage to show himself making only one appearance in one and a half seasons. In January 2003, the player moved to the FC St. Pauli, in which he performed as a goalkeeper and appeared in 16 games. The same year he left the club and continued his career as a goalkeeper in the second Bundesliga side Jan Regensburg, where he made four appearances. Soon he moved to Norway and joined Odd Grenland, which played in the first division. Heinz stayed only for a year in the team, and moved to Lillestrøm, in which he was to become the main goalkeeper, playing 42 matches in two seasons.
In August 2007, Heinz Müller undersigned a three-year contract with Barnsley FC, which played the English Football League Second Division. There he became one of the best players in the team. In January 2008, he sustained a bad knee injury and had to suspend his career for a year. In the 2009/2010 season he returned to Germany and joined Mainz-05, where he was unable to play due to the injury, but later managed to perform in 52 matches.
