A Swedish footballer Henok Goitom plays as a centre forward for AIK Fotboll. Henok was born on 22 September 1984 in Solna.
In 1998, Goitom entered the academy of Essingle IK and his junior career began. There he got his first priceless playing experience. In 2001, the forward was scouted by Inter Orhoy. He spent a year at club’s youth department and moved to Vasalunds IF in 2002. There his formation was finished and Goitom turned into a full-grown player who was ready to perform on a senior level.
In 2004, after graduating from the academy, Henok signed for Udinese and his professional career began. His debut tear was lined with single appearance made, that’s why it was decided to send the forward on loan to the Spanish side Ciudad Murcia. The footballer stayed at the club until 2007, displaying a solid performance. Goitom made 75 appearances and racked up 23 goals for the temporary club.
In the summer 2007, a move to Murcia happened. After all the terms had been agreed, Henok became the club’s official member. The 2007/2008 season was lined with two goals netted in 31 matches. In 2008, the forward was loaned out by Valladolid. The spell with the temporary side was lined with 29 appearances made and 10 goals racked up.
In the summer 2009, Henok Goitom joined UD Almería. He immediately established himself as a very good footballer and started to make frequent appearances both as a member of the starting eleven and as a substitute player. The time spent at the Spanish club was lined with 78 appearances made and eight goals amassed. In 2012, the forward’s contract was bought out by AIK.
On international level, Henok Goitom was called up 13 times for the Sweden U-21 team. He used to perform for the squad from 2005 to 2006.
