A Paraguayan footballer Hernán Arsenio Pérez González performs as an attacking midfielder or as a winger for Villarreal CF. Hernán was born on 25 February 1989 in Fernando de la Mora.
When Pérez was 16, he entered the youth academy of Tacuary. After finishing his formation, the player joined the club’s senior side. The very first season was lined with five goals netted in 24 appearances. In 2008, Hernán Arsenio moved to Libertad. He appeared only once, because a serious injury prevented him from participating in further games.
In July 2009, a five-year contract was agreed with Villarreal. At first, Pérez González performed for the B team. He spent two years appearing 68 times for the reserves. His debut for the main squad took place on 14 April 2011 in a match against Twente. His debut goal was scored on 1 October 2011 in a game with Zaragoza.
Hernán performed for the Paraguay U-20 squad at the 2009 South American Youth Championship. His team finished second and the player himself became the squad’s top scorer by netting five balls in seven matches. When the footballer was 21, he was selected to represent the Paraguay full side at the 2011 Copa América.
