A Cameroonian footballer Hervé Tum plays as a striker for the Turkish club Elazığspor. He was born on 15 February 1979 in Yaoundé.
Hervé’s the product of the youth system of Pacy Football, where his junior career passed. The striker was selected for the senior squad of FC Sion in 1997 and his professional career began. He would stay at the club for 4 years making 42 appearances and netting 10 goals. In 2000, Tum was hired by FC Basel, where he remained until 2004. In total, he appeared 96 times scoring 23 goals for the team. In 2004, a contract for a term of the following two seasons was penned with FC Metz. Hervé proved to be an important team’s member netting 12 goals in 52 matches.
From 2006 to 2009, Tum represented such clubs as RC Strasbourg, Bursaspor and Sivasspor. In 2009, a deal was finalized with Istanbul BB. He spent two seasons playing for the club. The spell was lined with 44 appearances made and 17 goals scored. In 2011, the footballer became the official member of Gençlerbirliği. His debut goal for the new team was scored in a match against Mersin Idmanyurdu on 31 October 2011. The opponents won by two points to one. Tum featured in 30 club’s fixtures and scored 15 goals during the spell.
In 2012, it was announced that Hervé would move to Elazığspor to play in the Turkish Super League. The striker was handed the number 18 shirt at the club. After a short spell with Göztepe Izmir in 2013, Tum was released from the club.
In 2008, Tum earned his first call for the Cameroon national team.
