Hiroki Sakai is a Japanese footballer who currently plays as a defender for Hannover 96. He was born on 12 April 1990 in Kashiwa, Japan.
Formed in the youth ranks of Kashiwa Reysol, Hiroki made his professional team debut in 2009. Overall, he scored 2 goals in 51 games for the giant Japanese club. In 2012, a young footballer was signed by Hannover 96.
In the 2011/12 season, Hiroki Sakai was called up to the Japan U-23 national team, amassing 12 games for the squad. In 2012, he earned his first international cap to the Japan national team.
