Ibrahima Baldé was born on April 4, 1989 in Dakar, Senegal. He currently plays as a striker for FC Kuban Krasnodar.
Ibrahima’s youth career passed in Argentina where he played first for Argentinos Juniors in the 2006/2007 season and then joined Atlético Vélez Sársfield.
In 2008 the striker moved to Spain and became a part of Atlético Madrid B and in 2010 was promoted to the first team of the club making his La Liga debut in January 2010. On January 17, he netted his first goal for the squad, coming on in the 60th minute against Sporting de Gijón and five minutes later making a well-placed right-footed shot that made a score 3-1 for Atlético. All in all, he scored 3 goals in 18 matches for the Red and Whites in the first half of the 2010/11 season. For the rest of the campaign Baldé was loaned to the second-division club Numancia. There he appeared in 18 matches and netted 6 goals.
On April 13, 2011 Ibrahima signed a three-year contract with CA Osasuna where he featured in 22 league matches and scored 7 goals.
In summer 2012, the striker moved to FC Kuban Krasnodar for a transfer fee of €3.5 million. On August 27, 2012 he marked his debut with scoring a brace in a 6-2 thrashing of Volga Nizhny Novgorod.
As an international player Ibrahima Baldé earned 3 caps to the Senegal U-23 national squad and since 2012 the striker has been representing the senior Senegal national football team.
