Igor Mitreski is a Macedonian footballer who plays as a defender for Neftchi Baku in the Azerbaijan Premier League. He was born on 19 February 1979 in Struga, Macedonia.
Igor began his professional career at Sileks in 1999. Due to his strong performances he was noticed by the Russian giants Spartak Moscow and switched to a new club in 2001. Mitreski shortly established himself as an instrumental player and help his team to win the Russian Premier League in 2001 and Russian Cup in 2003.
In between 2005 and 2009, Mitreski improved his skills to a large extent playing abroad for such clubs as Ukrainian Metalurh Zaporizhya, Israeli side Beitar Jerusalem, German Energie Cottbus and Belgian team Beerschot. In 2010, he had a short spell at CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria. In 2010, Mitreski signed for Neftchi and plays there to date. He helped his team to win the Azerbaijan Premier League in two consecutive seasons.
Since 2001 till 2011, Igor Mitreski got 70 international caps to the Macedonia national team.
