Ihor Korotetskiy is a Ukrainian professional footballer who is currently playing as a defender for Metalurh Zaporizhya. The athlete was born on September 13, 1987 in Lutsk, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union.
Ihor Korotetskiy learned to play football in Kharkiv at Sportive School #13. The boy entered the sports school of Shakhtar Donetsk FC at the age of 13.
In 2004 Ihor Korotetskiy signed a professional contract with Shakhtar Donetsk FC and featured for Shakhtar-2 Donetsk FC for 2 years. In November 2005 the sportsman made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League in a match against the side of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk FC.
The defender was loaned to Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih FC in 2006, to Zorya Luhansk FC in 2008, to Illichivets Mariupol FC in 2009 and to Metalurh Donetsk FC for the time from 2009 till 2011.
In June 2011 Ihor Korotetskiy signed for Zorya Luhansk FC for 3 years. Before completing his contract Koretetskiy moved to the struggling Metalurh Zaporizhya.
From 2003 the defender was capped for the Ukraine national football teams of different age: U16, U17, U18, U19 and U21.
