Ioannis Fetfatzidis is a Greek midfielder currently playing for Genoa. He was born on 21 December 1990 in Drama, Greece.
The product of Olympiacos youth system, Ioannis joined the first team of the feeder club in 2009. He made his professional debut in a win over Atromitos on 31 October 2009. Just the following week, Fetfatzidis got a first taste of Champions League action in a match against Standard Liège. He scored a winning goal in a Champions League win over Olympique Marseille in November 2011. Fetfa, as he often called in the team, helped the club to win the Superleague Greece in the 2010/11 season and win the Double – the Greek Superleague and the Greek Cup – in the 2011/12 season.
After four years with hte senior Olympiacos squad Fetfatzidis completed a move to Genoa in September 2013.
Since 2010, Ioannis Fetfatzidis is capped to the Greece national team. He was an instrumental figure during the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifiers leading the club to the knock-out stage.
