Ion Echaide Sola is a Spanish footballer who plays for Huesca on a position of a defender.
A winner of the U-19 UEFA European Championship in 2007, he’s a product of the Osasuna youth system who performed for their senior squad since 2007. In 2009 he was sent on a half-season loan to Huesca and returned back home in winter having gained 13 appearances and scored 1 goal. Not finding a place in the starting eleven Sola was sent on a season-long loan again to Huesca. There he was an undisputed starter making 36 appearances for the club. In 2011 Ion returned to Osasuna but still wasn’t used by the manager. In total he has made only 6 appearances for the Navarrese side since 2007 and was sent on loan to Huesca in 2013.
As for his international career Ion Echaide Sola has been called up to the national youth teams of Spain since he was 15. He performed for the U-16, U-17, U-19 and U-21 teams totaling 11 appearances for all the ranks.
