Ismaïl Aissati is a Dutch-born Moroccan footballer, currently playing for Terek Grozny. He was born in 1988 and spent his youth playing career at DSO Utrecht, USV Elinkwijk and PSV Eindhoven. With the latest one he began his professional career in 2005.
His debut was in August, in the match against Roda JC. During his first senior season Aissati made 17 appearances and scored twice. In the first half of the 2006/07 season he was given less playing time and in January was sent on loan to FC Twente, where he made 14 league appearances. For the 2007/08 season Aissati returned to PSV, spent there a season and then left for AFC Ajax for about a €4m in June 2008. In September he suffered a knee injury and stayed aside, in his debut season with the club he was used rarely and made 9 appearances. The following season he featured in 14 league matches and in the summer of 2010 he was loaned to Vitesse. There Aissati played for a season, made 29 appearances and netted 4 goals. He returned to Ajax and spent the first three months with the reserves. At the end of the 2011/12 season he was released from Ajax and joined the Turkish team Antalyaspor. One year later he switched for Terek Grozny.
Aissati was called up to represent the Netherlands national U21 team winning 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship and the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. Since his debut in 2011 he represents Morocco.
