Ivan Cherenchikov was born on 25 August 1984 in a small Russian town Ozyorsk.
The player got his primary football education at the Dynamovets football school in his home town. In 2002 the player joined FC Amkar. The next year Ivan won the Russian First Division with his new club and prolonged his contract in 2008.
Both in 2009 and 2010 he managed to open his club’s goal scoring statistics. The player is well-known within the Perm side for his commitment on the pitch. In 2010 the player ruptured ankle ligament in an attempt to score a goal against FC Anzhi during the Russian Premier League fixture and had to travel to Germany for rehabilitation.
During the 2011 season Cherenchikov made 29 starts for the club. In the summer of 2011, the club management failed to negotiate new contract details with the footballer and was ready to listen to transfer offers.
