Ivanildo Cassamá is a midfielder born on 9 January 1986 in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau.
In 1997 the midfielder entered the Porto academy where he spent many years. Ivanildo played with different youth squads taking part in junior championships.
In the summer 2004 Cassamá received a proposal to sign for Porto which he did without hesitations in the summer of the same year. In the beginning the footballer was sent to the reserve team where he could gain basic experience of playing at more professional level. During the 2004/2005 season Ivanildo scored 7 goals in 24 matches.
In the summer 2005 Cassamá was promoted to the first team of Porto where he spent a good season making 20 appearances for the club. After a year in the first squad of Porto, Ivanildo was loaned to União Leiria. During his one-season spell with the temporary team the midfielder netted once in 20 matches.
In the summer 2007 Ivanildo moved on loan to Académica where he took part in 22 games for a season. In the summer 2008 the midfielder continued his career of a loan player in Gil Vicente. During the 2008/2009 season the footballer played 22 games for his temporary team.
After changing many clubs as a loan player, in the summer 2009 Cassamá signed a permanent contract with Portimonense. Ivanildo spent two seasons with his new team, kicking 8 goals in 40 matches as a first team player. In the summer 2011 the footballer joined Olhanense on a permanent contract. During the 2011/2012 season Ivanildo made several appearances for this club. In 2013 the played completed a transfer to Academica.
From 2004 to 2007 Ivanildo Cassamá scored once in 23 matches for the Portugal U-19 and U-21 national football teams. Since 2010 Cassamá has played for the Guinea-Bissau national football team.
