Jack Collison is a midfielder, born on 2 October 1988 in Watford, England.
In 1998 Jack moved to the academy of Peterborough United, where his youth career took off. During first two years, the footballer performed for the youth team of the club and took part in various junior tournaments. In 2000 Collison completed a move to the youth system of Cambridge United, where Jack spent five years and raised his professional level, which helped him to be more confident on the pitch. That drew the attention of West Ham United scouts, who offered the midfielder to join the academy of the London side club. Collison accepted the offer in 2005 and opted for a move to The Boleyn Ground, where he stayed during another two years.
In 2007 Jack penned his first contract and officially became a senior player of ‘The Hammers’. From 2007 to 2014, Collison took part in over 100 games of the club. After brief loan spells with Bournemouth and Wigan Athletic, Collison was released in the summer 2014.
From 2007 till 2011, Jack was capped seven times and contributed two goals for the Wales national U-21 team. From 2008, the midfielder has featured for the full national squad.
