Jacopo Sala is an Italian professional footballer who currently defends the colours of Hellas Verona. He operates at midfield.
Jacopo was born on December 5, 1991 in Bergamo, Italy. He joined Chelsea at the age of 15 from Atalanta`s youth system. Sala had maximum importance for the youth team, notching 11 goals in 43 games and helping his teammates win the FA Youth Cup. In 2010 he was promoted to the reserves where he participated in 21 matches.
On June 3, 2011 HSV captured Jacopo Sala from Chelsea. His contract expires on June 30, 2014. But the midfielder had to struggle for a regular place due to his poor fitness. That`s why he was transferred to Hamburger SVII. A month later he finally debuted on a senior level in the match against SV Eintracht Trier 05 in the DFB-Pokal, the German football cup competition. Jacopo has made 21 starts for the club and moved to Italian outfit Verona in 2013.
Jacopo Sala was selected for all Italy national youth teams. Now he plays for Italy U21. Despite being a utility player, Jacopo rarely scores for his teams.
