Jake Brian Bidwell is a defender of Brentford. He was born in small Merseyside town Southport, England.
Jake went in for football when he was 11 and joined ‘The Toffees’ youth academy in 2004. In April 2009 the young defender made his début for the Everton reserve team. His main team début came in the home Europa League game against Belarus side BATE Borisov in December the same year. Thereby, Jake got in the roster of the youngest footballers who took part in the Europa League (he was 16 at that moment). In 2009 he was invited to the Three Lions U-17 team and won the Nordic Tournament along with his peers.
On 24 November 2011, Jake moved to London side Brentford on loan. The defender penned a contract with ‘The Bees’ till 8 January 2012. Soon he made his début for the temporary team in a home victory over Hartlepool. After two successful loan spells Brentford offered a permament contract to Bidwell.
He also has 15 international caps for the England youth teams to his credit.
