Jake Kean is a goalkeeper of Blackburn Rovers. He was born on 4 February 1991 in Derby, England.
In 2006, Kean joined the academy of Derby County. It took him three years to learn football in all its minutest details and get ready for a professional start.
In 2009, the footballer was given an opportunity to clinch a place in the main team of Blackburn Rovers. Jake understood he would be used mainly as a substitute, but the keeper had to have permanent playing practice in order to keep fit. The management of the club decided to send Kean on loan to Hartlepool United, which saw the footballer make 19 appearances during his temporary spell.
In 2011, Jake sealed a loan deal with Rochdale and took part in 14 fixtures for the team during six months.
In 2011, the keeper was capped one time for the England national U-20 squad.
