Jake Taylor is a midfielder of Reading. He was born on 1 December 1991 in Ascot, England.
In 1999 Jake’s youth career took off in the academy of Reading, where he began to train and perform for the U-11 squad. It took Taylor ten years to get closer to a place in the main team. The young midfielder had to face high competition in various youth squads, but all those difficulties were surmounted and Jake received an invitation to the full team of Reading.
In 2009 the footballer penned a contract with the club and featured only in one match before being sent on loan to Aldershot Town in January 2011. During the second half of the 2010/2011 season, Jake made three appearances and went on loan again, this time to Exeter City, where his career was given a full-scale start. He joined the temporary team in the summer 2011 on a season-long deal, took part in 30 games and fired three goals, which was an encouraging result for the midfielder, as he gained priceless performing experience.
From 2007 till 2010, Taylor was capped 21 times and contributed four goals for the Wales national U-17, U-19 and U-21 teams.
