James Chamanga is a Zambian striker who currently represents Liaoning Whowin. He was born on February 2, 1980 in Luanshya, Zambia.
James began his football journey with Makumbi Stars, later moving to City of Lusaka F.C. In 2003 the Zambian international had a trial with National Assembly FC. After a string of superb displays and a couple of eye-catching goals Chamanga was offered a contract. In 2005 he was loaned out to Zanaco FC where he could find the target 10 times in 27 matches. After his loan stint came to an end the clinical striker moved to Bush Bucks. During his one-season stay with the club Chamanga fired 7 goals in 24 matches. The 2006/2007 season saw him defend the colours of Supersport United. The pacy striker settled immediately with a series of confident performances. James departed the club having notched 8 goals in 23 league games. In 2007 he signed for Moroka Swallows where he became the leading goalscorer. A move to Dalian Shide followed in 2008. Since 2013 Chamanga has been playing for Liaoning Whowin.
In 2005 James Chamanga became a senior international making his debut against Botswana. In 2012 the striker helped his national team claim the African Cup of Nations triumph.
