James Henry is a midfielder of Millwall. He was born on 10 June 1989 in Reading, England.
James’s professional career took off in local Reading in 2006, when the footballer graduated from the academy of the club and started to train with the main squad. However, the management decided to send Henry on loan to Nottingham Forrest almost at once. At the beginning of 2007, the midfielder sealed a temporary deal with the team and took part in one fixture before completing a loan move to Bournemouth, where he netted four goals in 11 matches during six months.
In 2008, James put pen to paper of a temporary contract with Norwich City and featured in three games for ‘The Canaries’ during half a year. In January 2009, the footballer was loaned out to Millwall, where he fired three goals in 16 fixtures during his spell. After his temporary contract had expired, Henry extended his deal with ‘The Lions’ till the end of the season.
In 2010, Millwall secured the midfielder’s services on permanent basis and saw him score eight goals in 103 matches as of January 2013.
From 2007 till 2008, James took part in eight games for the England national U-18 and U-19 squads. From 2007, he has been capped for the Scotland national U-19 team.
