James Wilson is a defender of Bristol City. He was born on 26 February 1989 in Chepstow, Wales.
James spent last years of his youth career in the academy of Bristol City, where he gave the final touch to all the preparations for a professional start and took his skills to the decent level. In 2007, the management offered the footballer to join the main squad of ‘The Robins’, and he accepted the offer without hesitation, but faced several difficulties competing for a place in the starting XI due to the lack of experience.
In 2008, Wilson sealed a temporary deal with Brentford and made 14 appearances for the team during six months, but the management decided to extend his loan spell till the end of the season. The defender took part in another 13 fixtures for ‘The Bees’ and returned to his parent Bristol City, where he took his tally to 29 matches by February 2013.
From 2006 till 2009, James was capped 12 times and contributed one goal for the Wales national U-19 and U-21 squads.
