Jan Morávek, a Czech footballer, was born on 1 November 1989 in Prague.
He was groomed at a hometown side Bohemians 1905 where he started t play in 1995 and came up through all the youth ranks of the club. In 2007, Jan Morávek signed the first professional contract in his football career with his parent club. The footballer made his debut on 8 June 2007 in the match against HFK Olomouc.
In late 2008, Schalke 04 took interest in Jan, and on 24 March 2009 he was offered a four-year contract. The amount paid for the transfer was about 2.5 million euros. On 1 July Moravek became an official player in the starting lineup.
In the summer of 2010 the footballer moved to Kaiserslautern on loan.
At the end of 2011, Jan joined Augsburg on a six-month loan. But shortly after, in 2012, he decided to strike roots at the club and signed a permanent contract.
Jan Morávek came up through U-19, U-20 and U-21 ranks of the Czech Republic national team between 2007 and 2011. He is capped to the senior squad since 2010.
