A Brazilian footballer Jardel Nivaldo Vieira currently plays for Benfica. He was born on 29 March 1986.
In 2004 Jardel started his professional career at Avaí, where he stayed for a season only. His next season was spent playing for Santos, but he didn’t manage to settle there, so in the summer 2006 a move to Iraty happened. He remained at the club until 2008, but during this period he was loaned to a couple of clubs, such as Avaí and Joinville, before, finally, being taken by Desportivo Brasil.
In the summer 2008, Vieira signed a contract with Desportivo Brasil. Hardly had he joined the main team, when he was sent on a loan to Ituano, where he stayed until the summer 2009. Immediately afterwards, he was sent on a season-long loan to Estoril. He made 28 appearances and scored 2 goals for the temporary club.
In 2010, Jardel joined Olhanense, where he was groomed during the season. In total, he scored one goal in 16 matches before moving to Benfica. In 2011, a contract with the Portuguese club was signed. Vieira continues to perform for the club today.
