Jason Pearce is a defender of Leeds United. He was born on 6 December 1987 in Hillingdon, England.
In 2004, Jason started to perform for the junior squad of Portsmouth and spent two years in the academy of the club before penning his first senior contract.
In 2006, the footballer went on loan to Bognor Regis Town and netted one goal in 12 fixtures for the team during his spell.
In 2007, Pearce sealed a temporary deal with Woking and fired two goals in 18 matches till August 2007, when he completed a two-year move to Bournemouth. In January 2010, the defender succeeded Danny Hollands at the position of a captain of the main squad and was voted the Player of the Year at the end of the season. He made 162 appearances and found the net seven times for the team during four years.
In June 2011, Jason returned to Portsmouth and took over the captain’s armband in March the following year. The footballer scored two goals in 43 games for the club during the season and was named the Player of the Year. However, Pearce had to leave ‘Pompey’ due to financial problems.
In May 2012, Leeds United secured the defender’s services on a four-year deal.
