Jason Scotland is a striker, born on 18 February 1979 in Morvant, Trinidad and Tobago.
Jason’s professional career took off in San Juan Jabloteh in 1996, when the footballer penned his first senior contract. He netted nine goals in nine fixtures for the club during one season and moved to Defence Force in 1998. Scotland fired 30 goals in 31 matches for the new team during four years and decided to move to Dundee United.
In January 2003, the striker sealed a deal with the club and managed to adapt to the new conditions really soon, which helped him to make a lot of starts in his début season. Jason found the net eight times in 50 games during two years and completed a move to St. Johnstone, where he kicked 33 goals in 66 fixtures during two seasons as well.
In 2007, the footballer transferred to Swansea City and became the pivot of the new team almost at once. He amassed 45 goals in 90 matches for ‘The Swans’ during two years and put pen to paper of a contract with Wigan Athletic, which saw him score one goal in 32 games during one season. In the summer 2010, Scotland’s services were secured by Ipswich Town, where the striker got on the scoresheet 20 times in 87 fixtures. Later on Jason joined fellow Championship side Barnsley.
In 2014 Scotland moved to Hamilton Academical.
From 2000 till 2011, Jason was capped 41 times and contributed eight goals for the Trinidad and Tobago national squad.
