Jason Steele is a goalkeeper of Middlesbrough. He was born on 18 August 1990 in Newton Aycliffe, England.
Jason’s youth career took off in the academy of Middlesbrough, when the footballer was 13. He made impressing display in a demonstration game and passed all necessary tests, which entailed the invitation to the junior squad of the club. It took Steele five years to get ready for the professional level of performance.
In 2008, the keeper penned his first senior contract with ‘Smoggies’ and started to make occasional appearances for the team. In 2010, Jason went on loan to Northampton Town and took part in 13 fixtures during six months, which helped him to struggle for the place of a first-choice keeper in his parent club. The footballer managed to achieve that goal and featured in 95 matches for Middlesbrough as if January 2013.
From 2006 till 2009, Steele made 27 appearances for the England national U-16, U-17 and U-19 squads. From 2010, the goalie has been capped three times for the national U-21 team. In 2012, Jason received a call-up to the Great Britain Olympic football squad.
