Javier Camuñas Gallego was born in 1980 in Madrid, Spain. Currently a Spanish footballer plays for Villarreal CF as a midfielder or a second striker.
He started his professional playing career with Club Atlético de Pinto then in 2000 Javier joined Rayo Vallecano and played for the reserve team until he was loaned to Getafe CF for the 2001/02 season. After that he returned to Rayo Vallecano and made his La Liga debut in September 2002 in a match against Deportivo Alavés, which ended 2-2 draw.
In 2003 Javier switched to the second division teams and played four seasons there: one season with Ciudad Murcia and three seasons with Xerez CD.
Since 2007 to 2009 Javier Camuñas represented Recreativo de Huelva. His first season was a success as he appeared in all the La Ligue matches and helped his team to remain in the top division though the next season Recreativo didn’t manage to avoid relegation.
The following side Javier played for was Osasuna and during his two seasons with the club he proved himself as a regular player. In July 2011 Javier signed contract with Villarreal but from time to time he suffered physical problems. In 2012 he was loaned to Deportivo de La Coruña.
