Javier Pastore began his football career in 1998 with Talleres. That was the club he had supported since childhood. The footballer made his debut being in the major squad in 2007. At that time the club played in the Argentine second division. Javier played with the club 5 matches. At the beginning of 2008 an Argentine football player was loaned to Huracán. In May 2008 Pastore made his club debut in the match against River Plate. At that match Huracán suffered a 0-1 defeat. In 2009 Clausura championship the footballer was recognized as a first team player. During that notable match Javier opened the score with a 25-yard shot and helped Huracán gain the most prominent 4-0 victory over River Plate in over 60 years. At that tournament Pastore scored 8 goals. Huracán took the second place at Clausura championship losing 0-1 to Vélez Sársfield.
In July 2009 the football player moved to Italian club Palermo which paid for transfer €4.7 million. The club signed with Javier a contract until 2014 and was obliged to pay €600 thousand per year. Pastore opted for Palermo from a great variety of teams including SS Lazio, AC Milan, Chelsea and FC Porto. Manchester United also wanted the footballer be one of their players and offered €10 million as a transfer fee. However an Argentine football player turned down the offer of the English club declaring that he did not want to be a bench warmer. Soon Javier obtained Italian citizenship.
In August 2011 Javier Pastore joined French FC Paris Saint-Germain where he currently plays as an attacking midfielder.
