Jean-Christophe Bahebeck

A French footballer Jean-Christophe Bahebeck plays as a winger for French FC Paris Saint-Germain.

Bahebeck’s football career at Paris Saint-Germain started in the club’s youth academy at the Camp des Loges. He was given a place in the club’s U-14 team where he immediately worked up a reputation of an effective goal-scorer. At U-14 level a young footballer played in the French U-15 championship and in the 2008/09 season he was promoted to the U-17 team. In 23 matches held on home soil the football player scored 17 goals. The first achievement in Bahebeck’s youth career was his participation in the U-19 team that won in its league in the 2009/10 season. He appeared in 20 matches and netted 14 goals.

Before the 2010/11 season the winger was promoted to the reserve team in the Championnat de France amateur of the fourth level in French football. Besides he was entrusted a place in the club’s team for the UEFA Europa League by the coach Antoine Kombouaré. Bahebeck’s amateur debut took place on 8 August 2010 in a victorious match against FC Bourg-Péronnas. The next week the footballer scored his first goal in a triumphant match over Monts d’Or Azergues. On the following day of the match he scored another goal that was the team’s single goal to Villefranche. From October till January Jean-Christophe netted 5 goals during 7 appearances. Obviously the winger caught the eye of serious football clubs. Consequently such English clubs as Manchester City and Chelsea strove to get hold of the footballer on a free transfer as at that time Bahebeck was not bound up with any club by a contract.

For his outstanding performances in the reserve team the football player was promoted to the club’s major team. He could also take part in the winter training while in Morocco. In the starting lineup he played for the first time as a substitute. On 23 June 2011 the winger was awarded a contract with Paris Saint-Germain FC. There he immediately became a member of the major squad. His debut happened on 6 August 2011 in the match against FC Lorient. On 18 August Bahebeck’s European debut in the UEFA Europa League happened. In that match Jean-Christophe Bahebeck scored his first goal of the season.

In 2013 the young forward was loaned to struggling Troyes.
