Jean Paul Yontcha is a Cameroonian striker born on 15 May 1983 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The footballer started his professional career in 2001, when he signed the first contract with Tiko United. During a season he made 14 appearances for the team.
In the summer 2002 the striker penned a permanent contract with CABBA where he spent 4 years. During that spell Jean sometimes earned a place in the starting eleven, however he failed to become a regular player of the first team, scoring 28 times in 64 matches during four years.
In 2006 Yontcha moved to the Qatari club Al-Sadd, which sealed with him a long-term deal. During two years the striker periodically got into the starting line-up, taking part in 30 matches and kicking 18 goals for the Arab side. In the summer 2008 Yontcha joined the Romanian outfit Otopeni, where he netted twice in 16 matches for a season.
In the summer 2009 Jean Paul changed his club moving to the Portuguese club Belenenses where he spent a successful season playing 19 games in the starting eleven and kicking 5 goals.
In the summer 2010 Jean Paul signed for Olhanense. During three seasons Yontcha remained the key striker. He featured in 45 matches and scored 7 goals before being released in the summer 2013.
