A professional footballer Jeferson Miguel da Silva plays for Rio Ave as a defender. He was born on 15 January 1986 in São Paulo, Brazil.
His professional career didn’t start until 2006, when a contract was signed with Rio Preto. Jeferson got an opportunity to test out all the knowledge he’d gained studying at the academies of various clubs. Silva played for the Brazilian club during four seasons. He became one of the first eleven, operating as a central defender. In 2009, Jeferson was sent on loan to Rio Ave. The management of the temporary club wanted to see the footballer afoot before buying his contract out. Silva revealed his potential and the governing body got added evidence that it was a right decision to secure the defender’s services.
In the summer 2010, after a permanent deal was finished, Jeferson got an offer to sign a contract with the club on the permanent basis and so he did. He became one of the team’s pivots. Together with the squad he found himself at the relegation-threatened side, but the club managed to remain its place in the Primeira Liga. Silva continues to play for the club up till now.
