Jeffrey Bruma is a Dutch centre-back who of PSV.
Jeffrey was born on November 13, 1991 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. At the age of fifteen he joined Chelsea`s youth system from Feyenoord. A year later he forced his way into the reserves. The towering defender had maximum importance for the reserve squad prior to stepping up to the first team under Carlo Ancelotti`s stewardship.
When a schoolboy, Jeffrey played as a stopper in every match in the FA Youth Cup including the Final. He made the highest number of outings in the youth league.
In the summer 2009 Bruma turned professional and was capped by the Netherlands national U21 team at the age of seventeen. He debuted in the qualifier for UEFA U21 Championship 2011 against Finland. Soon he appeared in his first league match for Chelsea, coming off the bench.
In February 2011 Leicester City loaned the player until the end of the campaign. On June 30, 2011 Bruma joined HSV on a two-season loan deal from the Premier League giants. Upon returning from loan Jeffrey was sold to the Dutch side PSV.
