Jeffrey Nana Darko Sarpong is a Ghanian footballer, who was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
At the age of seven he joined AFC Ajax and in 2005 he signed his first professional contract with the club.
He appeared in the Eredivisie for the first time, when Ajax suffered 2-3 loss against Feyenoord in February 2006 and went on playing in eight Dutch League matches. During his first season with the team they won the Dutch Cup.
The next season he didn’t appear in any league games and the 2008/09 season Sarpong became a regular player. He scored his first goal in a 2-2 draw against Feyenoord.
The second half of the 2009/10 season Sarpong spent with NEC on loan and in August 2010 he joined Real Sociedad. At the beginning of 2012 he was loaned to NAC Breda till the end of the season. In January 2013 he parted ways with Real Sociedad and joined NAC Breda.
He has Ghanaian and Dutch passports and played for the Netherlands Under-21 national team. Being a part of Under-17 team they finished third in the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship.
