Jérémie Bréchet is utilized both as a left back and left midfielder. Currently he plays for Troyes AC in Ligue 1. The player was born on 14 August 1979 in Lyon, France.
Jérémie’s youth career developed at Lyon football academy from which he graduated in 1998. The same year he was offered a promotion to the senior team.
Thus in 1998 Bréchet signed his first professional contract with Lyon keeping him at the club for five years until 2003. Over a period of five years he participated in 117 club matches.
In 2003 the player received a call-up from Inter Milan, one of the strongest Italian football clubs. In the summer of 2003 he joined the team and made only 9 appearances for the club during the 2003/04 season.
In 2004 Jérémie moved to Spain. Real Sociedad became a new club for the player. However he rarely appeared in the major squad. Such run of affairs did not suit him that is why he was not against moving back to his motherland. Right at that time he began to receive offers from various French clubs.
In the summer of 2006 Bréchet signed a contract with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard which he represented till 2008. He became an integral team member appearing in 49 matches in two seasons.
In 2008 the player attracted attention of PSV which is considered to be one of the best clubs in the Eredivisie. During the 2008/09 season he starred for the club featuring in 27 matches and scoring 1 goal.
In 2009 Sochaux made a decision to get their defender back. Moreover Jérémie himself wanted to move back to France as he could not live so far from his family. That is why in the summer of 2009 he reunited both with his football family and his own family in France. Since 2009 the player appeared to be an effective element of the defence.
From 2001 till 2003 Bréchet featured in 3 matches for the France national football team.
